I'm going to be good
Dec. 21st, 2006 12:02 pmuntil the New Year. This is the last time I'm going to spend on the internet. Actually, I wasn't going to spend any time here today, but then I got disctracted from not studying...
Sometime between now and New Year, I plan to finish at least 2 more sections of my current chapter. This requires me to spend some time at my computer (fortunately not connected to the outside world). I love the view from my 'office' window, but it's not as good as the view from my living room. However, I have no more reading I can claim to need to do. (6 verbs in one sentence!)
Currently reading a book called "The Hisrtorian", by Elizabeth Kostova, which made me all keen, yesterday, to get on and write, but not keen enough to put the book down and *write*. So I'm not allowing myself to pick up the book until at least 1,000 words have been written today.
Because tomorrow, the weather being nice (fingers crossed) my baby brother is taking me flying - to Kerikeri, for lunch, followed by a look-see over the Bay of Islands. Slightly nervous, but Dad said Brother was very proffessional when Brother took him (Dad) up. (Will post lots of beautiful pictures). And I have to try and do some baking for Christmas, followed by three days of no work over Christmas, and then it's time to prepare for New Year.
And in other news, anyone read this guy's work?
The real Greg Benford once took this quiz, and it told him he was Arthur C. Clarke, according to the site.
See you all later.
