So, after weeks spent trawling Trademe, I found an intriguing ad in the New Zealand Herald. A paper copy, too. Maybe the internet isn't the final answer.
The outcome of that discovery is that
zcatcurious and I have a place in the woods. From the 2nd of June, we will be renting a 2 bedroom cottage, with Kent log-burner, and a walk-in wadrobe with a window - office number 2. It is in Laingholm - just beyond Titirangi, and is entirely surrounded by regenerating kauri trees - about 60yrs old, the owner said. It is small and warm, and ours.
We will be moving in over Queen's Birthday weekend, but hope to have most done on the Friday and Saturday. I realise that this could impinge on plans to transport
theunshaven and
[Bad username or site: poing to <lj user=doc_spatial @ livejournal.com]'s Buffy-fest. But we want our place.
I have been very good, and
zcatcurious's parents have been very good, but if I get greeted with another "Good Morning", loudly and cheerfully, at 6:30 on a Saturday morning, when I am just stumbling to the bathroom, and have no intention of it being morning for another 4 hours, I will
kill someone scream.
No doubt I have not been easy to live with either. We all deserve awards.
