Playing Games

For some reason, maybe because the weather's so hot that she can't be bothered doing any exercise on her own, Mynx has decided to make sure we do lots of running.

She sits outside the sliding door, and murps (not a full meow). At first I thought she was getting lazy, and wanted the door open, so she didn't have to go through the cat-door. But no, it turned out that she wants us to come outside and run sticks through the grass for her to chase. Which ends up with dizzy zcats, because turning in circles is the best use of space. Fortunately, there is a house to fall against.

And she's taken to stealing my chair. I'm relegated to the beanbag (which she still hasn't discovered the joys of, surprisingly).

So, I guess I should go and do some work. I feel so stupid, because I know i could write the conference paper in one sitting, if I just put my mind to it. Instead, I'm doing it in 500word bursts. Grah! Nice to know other grad students are similarly feeling their time could be better utilised.
