Constrained to post

Because the Mynx is sitting on my lap, and I will get into trouble if I try to move her. There will be growls, and possibly a swipe. On the other hand, I can't pull the keyboard tray all the way out, and her head is resting on one arm, making the fingers more restrained. Glad I don't have to use numbers, as I can't fit my fingers that far under the desk!

It is grey and mizzley (sorry, kendokamel, we've got your missing winter), and cold. However, I'm feeling reasonably chipper. I got through a good pile of exam marking last night, and so will easily be finished before the weekend is over. Chance chats with my supervisor and her partner have suggested that there are many ways forward for my thesis.

Most importantly, however, there is a Red Cross booksale tonight. I will probably increase my "rubbish" collection of Georgette Heyer, Dick Francis, and hopefully Dorothy Sayers. There will possibly be useful things too. I have a fairly decent bookcase of Old and Middle English texts and commentaries, thanks to these sales.

Also, I keep waking up with great ideas for my Old English lectures. Must get round to actually preparing beyond the first one!
