And the Madness Begins, again.
Jul. 16th, 2007 09:03 amThis waking up thing is not getting any easier! It doesn't help that today is very dark and slightly damp. But here I am, awake.
And looking at my timetable for the semester, I'm not sure when I'm meant to get any work done. I had thought I'd be going in on the days I'm teaching: Tues & Fri. Then my supervisor suggested that I sit in on the basic MEDEMS paper, to help background me in the history side of the stuff I'm reading. So that's Monday gone. And then I'm reminded that the MEDEMS seminars are on Wednesday, and my marvellous Latin tutor is offering me his time, on Tuesday or Wednesday. Well, I can't make it on Tuesday, unless they have cancelled one of my tutorials, which they haven't told me yet ('they' being the unseen, unknown Power-That-Be). So even though MEDEMS seminars happen fortnightly, I might be going in weekly on Wednesdays as well.
Precious, precious Thursday!
This is bothersome because, while I live only 1/2 an hour from Uni, if I drive in, this is not a good thing for the environment, and I am trying to be considerate there. zcatcurious to drop me off at the train station, still takes only 45 mins, IF the train turns up on time, and is not delayed along the way. Let us just say that, on the days I have to teach, I will be driving in. And then there is the return journey, and stopping to pick up groceries on the way, and suddenly, 2 hours at uni has turned in to a whole day.
And it does mean that I should be waking up and starting study, rather than waking up and checking LJ... Ah, well, I go and work now.
