So my ex-boyfriend rang last night...

zcat_abroadNo, nothing still going on there - we parted happily about 8 years ago. We've remained friends all this time, and if you've see that photo of my wedding - well, he took it.
Now he's married, still living down in Franklin district, and rang up for a chat last night. Or so I thought, at first. Now I think he was trying to get me into some sort of pyramid selling scheme (not under that title - he called it networking, but it sounded the same to me). It may be that the product is perfectly reasonable, and that he's just really keen on it, which is why it kept coming back into the conversation. But it seemed really strange. I was thinking, while talking to him, "so, did you ring for a chat, or are you trying to get me into this thing?" - which is also weird, because that's the sort of thing I usually only think of later.
I spent the rest of the evening feeling rather annoyed, and a little used. On the one hand, he knows we're looking for work and money (no, we're really not mercenary - we just want to buy a house!). So it could just be that he thought it would be usefull for us. But I hate to think that he was just going through his phone-book and ringing all his old acquaintances.
Okay, so maybe I'm making a lot of fuss over nothing - but it bothered me for the rest of the night. (If I end up getting into selling this product, I promise not bother anyone on my f-list, or any of my friends!)
