In the spirit of Procrastination...

We got most of our friends' presents the other day.
And here, for those friends who might get presents (beyond those wonderful virtual stockings), a small warning/disclaimer: We buy you real presents for your birthdays. The Christmas presents are tokens of affection, nothing special. Sorry.
We also saw the new Bond film. I think that, for those who liked Sean Connery, or possibly Moore, Daniel What's-his-face is not too bad. The film itself was great - all one wants in a Bond film - I loved what we got to see of M. But I want Brosnan back. :( I know, he's getting too old, but, but...
In reading news, I got out another Peter Bowen book from the library yesterday. Now I remember why I like it so much - detective fiction written in Metis dialect - something spoken in Montana, apparently, and short on prepostitions.
"Du Pre looked at his goulash.
I am in the army, Germany, he thought, I eat this crap, wonder why we don't just shoot them all. Crime against humanity, this food."
Well, I'd better go and deal to Ethelthryth - do I try and write more chapter, or come up with something for the conference in Feb? Conference preparation equals reading, at the moment. Easier than writing. Maybe I write.
(ooh, and notice new icon, starring Mynx!)
